Driving Directions to the Schmidt Art CenterSchmidt Art Center The Schmidt Art Center is located on Southwestern Illinois College's Belleville campus. When you arrive on the Belleville Campus, look for the white marble sculpture and the small brick building with the curved glass front and slanted metal roof. Visitor parking is available along the sidewalk. Note: The Schmidt Art Center is just a parking lot away from MetroLink's College Station. That's another great way to visit campus. Directions to the Belleville CampusSouthwestern's Belleville Campus is located at the corner of Green Mount Road and Route 161/Carlyle Avenue on the eastern edge of Belleville. St. Louis From the NorthFollow I-70 East to the Poplar Street Bridge. Take I-64 east to exit 16, Green Mount Road (the exit sign reads O'Fallon/Shiloh.) Turn right onto Green Mount Road. Proceed about 4.5 miles to the intersection of Green Mount Road and Route 161/Carlyle Avenue, and turn left on Carlyle. The entrance to the college is on the right. From CarbondaleTake Route 13 east to I-57 North to I-64 West. Take exit 19A - Route 158, Scott Air Force Base. Proceed south on Route 158 to the third stoplight, the T-intersection of Route 158 and Route 161. Turn right on Route 161 and go to the first stoplight. Turn left into the campus. From Mount VernonTake I-64 west to exit 19A - Route 158, Scott Air Force Base. Proceed south on Route 158 to the third stoplight, the T-intersection of Route 158 and Route 161.
