H1460 by Claus D. Moor

Rotate Scuplture: LEFT  RIGHT

Title: H1460

by Claus D. Moor

Material: White Carrara Marble

Carrara is a city in northern Italy southeast of Genoa.  It is famous for the white marble quarried here that was favored by Michelangelo.

This 35,000-pound sculpture required a crane to put it in its place.  The 12-foot high sculpture was exhibited at Pier Walk 1999: The Chicago International Sculpture Exhibition.

College Foundation Gift: William E. Schmidt Charitable Foundation
